John 15
9 “As the Father loved Me, I also have loved you; abide in My love. 10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.

If you keep the Lords commandments you will abide in His love.

So far it has said abide in Christ about 3 or 4 times. So I looked up “Abide in me.”

“abide” is to live, continue, or remain”

So we live in this relationship with Christ. We learn to love what He loves. We learn to follow his commandments.
Abiding in Christ is taught in 1 John 2:5–6, where it is synonymous with “knowing” Christ.

1 John 2:5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God [a]is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

This is how we show we love Him. This is our act of obedience.
