I was listen to some Keith Moore this morning and he was preaching on Psalms 103. So I decided to re-read.
Psalms 103
1 Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
And all that is [deep] within me, bless His holy name.
2 Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul,
And do not forget any of His benefits;
So we are instructed to remember His benefits. That’s plural, more than one. There is more to the Lord than avoiding hell.
3 Who forgives all your sins,
Who heals all your diseases;
Number 2 is healing all your diseases.
4 Who redeems your life from the pit,
Who crowns you [lavishly] with lovingkindness and tender mercy;
5 Who satisfies your years with good things,
So that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle.
In verse 4 the Psalmist talks about salvation again, then talks about HEALING again. A renewed youth, only happens in a healthy body.
Let us walk in all His promises, all His benefits. Receive Him as Jehovah Rapha.
